Father,
help me to be bolder. Help me not to confuse
boldness with being loud, obnoxious, or rude, but
to recognize that true boldness comes from knowing
that I know that I abide in Jesus and that Jesus
and His Word abide in me. Boldness comes not by
might nor by power, but by Your Spirit.
Father, I want to be bold with my love just as
Jesus was bold with His love. I desire a quiet
confidence and assurance that comes from knowing
You. Please give me the wisdom to know when to be
quiet and when to speak out. Open my eyes so that
I can see people as Jesus sees them. Thank You for
giving me a heart of compassion and love for
everyone.
I am not ashamed of You, Father, and I am not
ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because I
really love people, I am not afraid to tell them
about Jesus. Thank You for giving me the words to
say, so that when I talk to others, it is like
You, God, talking to them. I will live in an
exemplary manner representing You by both my words
and my actions. My behavior will reflect love,
joy, and peace to others.
I thank You that I am not hindered by fear,
because You have not given me a spirit of fear,
but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I
know that perfect love casts out all fear. So by
faith, I believe that I will not be intimidated by
what other people think or say or do.
Thank You for courage and strength to love and to
live like Jesus. I am asking You for boldness,
wisdom, and freedom to declare Your message
fearlessly at just the right time to my friends at
school and at work.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
