For God has not given us a spirit
of fear,
but of power and of love and of a sound mind. ~2 Timothy 1:7
We are not to fear, because God is our dwelling
Place, and our Source of everything for our lives.
It is a covenant promise to His children, that if
we love and acknowledge Him, not just with lip
service but from our hearts, He will protect us,
deliver us, honor us and give us long life. Psalm 91 : 15-16 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation."
He has provided the armor of protection - the belt
of truth; the breastplate of righteousness; the
gospel of peace for our feet; the shield of faith
to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the devil;
the helmet of salvation; the sword of the Spirit,
which is His Word; and prayer in the Spirit
.Ephesians 613Therefore take up the whole armor of
God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil
day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having girded your waist with
truth, having put on the breastplate of
righteousness, 15and having shod your feet with
the preparation of the gospel of peace;
We will not be destroyed by any plot or scheme of
the devil, for if we are knowledgeable of God's
Word. We can resist the devil with the Word of
God, and he will flee from us in great terror!
Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the
world.
1John4:4You are of God, little children, and have
overcome them, because He who is in you is greater
than he who is in the world. 5They are of the
world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and
the world hears them.
